Advantages for Europeans of
manufacturing in Mexico
through the Mo-Mex Shelter Plan including advantages provided by the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
1.
Low cost, skilled, reliable local work force.
The 2012 hourly starting wage with employer taxes and benefits is
1.13€ per hour worked at current (January 9, 2012) exchange rates.
The fact that C.F. Martin & Co., the U.S. manufacturer of world famous
premium crafted guitars, has been in Navojoa and a Mo-Mex client since 1989,
and has recently expanded their Navojoa work force to over 350 hourly
employees, attests to the skill, quality and stability of Navojoa workers.
2
With the Mo-Mex Shelter Plan, you can have your own manufacturing
facility, which you operate to your own standards, avoiding the problems and
disappointments that frequently go with having a contract manufacturer
produce your products.
3.
With a plant in Navojoa, you can take advantage of the cost saving
features of the free trade agreements which
Mexico has with the European Union, the
United States
and Canada,
and with other Latin American nations.
You can import tools, equipment, raw materials and components into
Mexico duty-free, use them to manufacture your products and ship them
duty-free to the European Union, the United States and Canada.
For additional information on
the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which permits duty-free
entry of products made in Mexico
into the United States
and Canada, please

4.
Many European companies have manufacturing plants in
Mexico.
German companies alone have over 1,200 of them.
Suppliers to these plants can generally reduce costs and improve
deliveries by manufacturing goods in Navojoa and shipping directly to their
customers’ Mexican plants. They
also have the opportunity to pick up new customers from other manufacturers
with plants in Mexico
as well as in the USA and Canada.
5.
Utilizing the Mo-Mex shelter plan provides a quick, low-cost, risk
free way to start and operate a manufacturing facility in Mexico.
The shelter provides the factory building, the workers and all of the
support services required.
Shelter clients operate as divisions of our Mexican company.
They do not have to establish Mexican subsidiaries, incorporate in Mexico or even open Mexican bank
accounts. They are not subject
to Mexican income taxes. Their
working capital requirements are limited to investments in tools, production
machinery and inventories. The
shelter provides everything else and bills for labor, rent, local goods and
services in arrears.
Plants can be set up and operating within 90 days.
Plant buildings are modern, efficient, air-conditioned and well
lighted.
6.
The Mo-Mex Shelter plan has a full time representative based in Mainhausen-Frankfurt,
Germany
to facilitate relations between European clients and their plants in Navojoa.
