OUR LOCATION

 

 

Our location in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, 365 miles south of the U.S.-Mexican border at Nogales, Arizona offers an attractive environment for your plant by providing:

 

·        Substantially lower costs than in Mexican border cities or metropolitan areas.

 

 

·        A plentiful local supply of young, well-educated hourly workers, with excellent

 work ethic and extremely low turnover.

 

·        Easy-to-recruit, experienced managerial, supervisory and technical personnel.

 

 

·        A short overnight trip of 365 miles from the U.S. border at Nogales, Arizona          

via a four lane limited access toll highway.

 

·        Daily commercial air service from Los Angeles, Phoenix and Tucson as well as Monterrey and Mexico City via AeroMexico to Ciudad Obregon (35 miles north of Navojoa) and  from Phoenix via U.S. Airways to Guaymas (100 miles north of Navojoa).

 

 

Navojoa is safe, has an ample supply of labor and support facilities for manufacturing operations.

 

·        Navojoa is in a safe, tranquil area, far from metropolitan areas and border cities where the drug trade and crime against persons has become a problem.  There are an estimated 322,000 people in the Navojoa region. of which 155,000 are in the City of Navojoa itself.    35% of the population is considered to be under-employed or unemployed. 

 

·        The major activity in the region is agriculture.  Industrial plants employ only a small portion of the economically active population.  We have no problem recruiting and retaining educated, capable workers for our clients’ plants.

 

·        With its agricultural base, Navojoa has good support facilities in place for manufacturing operations, such as machine shops, welders, motor repair shops and the like.  Additional support facilities can be found in the nearby city of Ciudad Obregon and the state capital of Hermosillo.
