OVERVIEW
Cost Savings:
- Manufacturing and assembling products in Mexico can produce substantial
cost savings over performing the same operations in the United States, principally due to the much lower cost of Mexican labor. The current fully loaded base hourly rate for a productive labor
hour in one of our plants is $1.34.
Shelter Plan:
- We operate a shelter plan, essentially an out-sourcing program, in which
we provide factory space, workers and administrative support for the manufacturing operations of our clients. Basically, we provide all of the Mexican resources which the operations require,
and our clients provide the machinery, equipment, raw materials, and technology required to produce their products.
Types of Shelters:
- We offer both client Managed and Mo-Mex Managed shelters. In a client Managed
shelter, the client takes on the task of managing the production process. In a Mo-Mex Managed shelter, we take on that task with the technical support of the client.
